Fred Baron - Chair, PGA Green West

Fred is currently EVP of Feature Production at Twentieth Century Fox. With Fox since 1990, he has overseen the production of feature films that include Knight & Day, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Borat, Edward Scissorhands, Broken Arrow, Romeo and Juliet and both X-Files features.



Fred took a hiatus from Fox from 1999-2001 to produce the critically acclaimed film Moulin Rouge with Baz Luhrmann, which won many awards including the PGA’s Darryl F. Zanuck Producer of the Year Award and received a Best Picture nomination from the Motion Picture Academy.


 

Kathleen Courtney - Chair, PGA Green West

Kathleen has worked as a Producer and Production Manager on such feature films as BowfingerThe Score and Daredevil.  Most recently she was EVP of Production for The Film Department’s projects including Law Abiding Citizen and The Rebound.

She is serving her fourth term on the Board of Directors of the PGA, is the Chair of the FilmUSA Committee and oversees its website FilmUSA.org. She is a founding member of the Green Production Alliance, consisting of Production Executives dedicated to assisting productions in their sustainability efforts through internet tools such as an international green vendor guide, a carbon calculator and environmental seminars. These tools will be accessible through PGAgreen.org effective July 1, 2010.

 


 

 

Amanda Scarano Carter - Co-Chair, PGA Green West

Amanda is owner of Green Penny Productions, a film consultancy business providing guidance and transparency for film investors, both corporate and private, overseeing films through all stages of film production.

Prior to starting Green Penny, Amanda oversaw physical production and Co-Produced films for 13 years at Pierce Brosnan's film production company, Irish DreamTime.  These films include The Thomas Crown Affair, The Matador, and 2010's The Greatest.

Amanda is a graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and the UCLA Anderson School of Management's Executive Management Program.



 Lydia Dean Pilcher – Chair, PGA Green East

Lydia is founder of Cine Mosaic, an independent production company with an energetic focus on entertaining stories that promote social, cultural and political diversity. She has produced over 27 feature films that include You Don't Know Jack (dir: Barry Levinson), The Darjeeling Limited (dir: Wes Anderson),  Amelia and The Namesake (dir Mira Nair).

Pilcher was a Golden Globe Award nominee for the HBO films Iron Jawed Angels and Normal. Other feature producing credits include Vanity Fair, Hysterical Blindness, Cradle Will Rock, Jesus' Son and Mississippi Masala. Lydia has served two terms as Vice Chair of the PGA East and currently serves on the Board of Directors of The New York Production Alliance.



Mari Jo Winkler – Chair, PGA Green East

Mari Jo recently Executive Produced Doug Liman’s Fair Game starring Noami Watts and Sean Penn. She has also Executive Produced Away We Go, Dan in Real Life and No Reservations and has Co-Produced Lucky You, In Her Shoes and Shall We Dance.

She is a dedicated environmentalist and connected Earthmark/Green Media Solutions with Focus Features to participate in a ground breaking pilot program to study the greening efforts on the film Away We Go.

She lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.


 
 

Katherine Carpenter - Co-Chair, PGA Green East

Katherine is an award-winning documentary producer specializing in environmental subjects from endangered species to climate change in diverse habitats around the world. Her projects include Hundred Heartbeats, A Year on Earth, and Race to Save the Planet. In 2007 she was trained as a climate presenter by Al Gore and The Climate Project.

She is currently a carbon-reduction consultant with Green Media Solutions helping to green the sets of Nightly News with Brian Williams, Saturday Night Live, Boardwalk Empire and the feature films Away We Go, It’s Complicated and Morning Glory

She lives with her two daughters and a Catahoula Leopard dog in New York City.


 

Dale Roy Robinson – PGA Green.org Administator

Dale is an Executive Producer/Showrunner who has produced over 125 hours of television, both scripted and reality. He worked on MTV’s Undressed (a single-camera daily show created by Roland Joffé), Jamie Kennedy’s Blowin’ Up, Pranked and created the competition reality show Hurl for G4. He became an award-winning hyphenate when his writing/directing/producing debut Blue Shark Hash won Best Feature at the Fargo Film Festival.
 
He recently co-created a child and is currently developing and pitching shows.


 Vicente Williams

Vicente Williams – PGA Green.org Administator

New Media geek at heart with an incredibly creative streak. His accomplishments include work on DVD titles from Universal Studios, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Warner Brothers and four years producing digital content at MTV. Some of his previous employers include FOX, The RAND Corporation, The Learning Company and many more.

He is a proud member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Interactive Media Peer Group and the PGA's New Media Council. In his spare time Vicente has lectured at UCLA extension and volunteers with local entertainment charities.
